Quickie - Contest Info

First of all, sorry being late to inform. You know am doing a million things right now.

So the thing is that there is this awesome 55 word fiction contest happening over at Lena's place here http://www.thecolorsmagazine.com (come on, you do know her from her Tuesday Love ramblings don't you?)

Now if you know me well enough, you know am not that big a fan of 55WF. It doesn't mean I don't like reading them. I do. Its just at I suck at writing one. Maybe that's the reason I've only written 2 of them yet. And if you want to shower in some love the second one (being my last minute contest entry by the way) lies here MY CONTEST ENTRY

So if you love 55WF be sure to check out the fun event. :D

Fair warning: Its not for the weak hearted, mind you. Plenty of babies dying out there! (Just kiddin' :P)

PS: Oh, my brother got me a katana! Yatta!!!!!!!!!

He told me over the phone. He's gone on another trip and would be back next week. I can't wait to get my hands on it. It doesn't have all that sharp a blade though. Or so he says. Whatever be the case, I'll handle it much more carefully than the nanchakus. I promise. :P Will try and post a pic soon.

This is my way of the Ninja!

I have a deep and enduring fondness for strawberries, so your entry was a sure-fire winner with me.

Very Nick and Jen, and very sweet, Aniket. :D Best of luck!!

Congrats on the katana. Well, I think. Then again, maybe I should wait until I see the pic of this thing. ;)

Sarah - Hehe! Bro. says its very KILL BILLish katana. Lets see.

And with the time I had could only have written on Nick and Jenny. Since the voices now come so easy to me.

PS: Shhhhh! I'm having larger plans for them. They are just plans now, you'll hear from them soon. :P

Lots of luck with the contest Aniket!

Hope you don't threaten Lena with the Katana if you don't do well. :D

I enjoyed the sweet episode. As Sarah said - very Nick and Jenny. :)

Ha! Looks like the smarter one got outsmarted. My brother used to do that to me all the time (grumble, grumble...) Yeah, I was the smarter one, erm, really...heh.

Is it a Hattori Hanzo sword?? You must have some big rats to kill!
;)

ha ha ha Aniket, i remember you were the first one to tell that the baby died in my entry to Lena's 55 Fiction contest titled "The Gift"!

but your entry "Epic Rivalry" is sooo...sweet for a sibling's rivalry and the strawberry shake? hmmm, am dying for a taste of it!

thanks Aniket for posting a comment in my 55 fiction entry...

do drop by my place at http://intelclub.blogspot.com/

i've bookmarked you there!

nice day Aniket!:)

Margaret - Dayum. Results would be out before I get my hands on my Katana.

Aine - Am sure you were. Tsk Tsk.

I wish it was a Hattori Hanzo! I still have to name it though. I like the name 'Tsubame no Gayeshi' but I dont like its powers. Its bankai would still be 'Senbonzakura kageyoshi'! Bleach rocks.

Preacherman - I find it hard too. And more so just 55 words leave me unsatsfied. It like having just foreplay and missing out on the good stuff. If you know what I mean. :) Still, its not like I don't like foreplay. :P

Good luck with the contest, Aniket! Loved your entry--perfect last line and the fact that you could make it so with such few words preceeding it is impressive!

But of course what we are all really here for now is pictures!!

LGL - All in good time my friend. Let bro. bring the sword this saturday. You'll get your pics.

Jen - I'm in the top 6. Now its upto public voting. Not bad, right? :D

And about the pics - well, you'll see them when you'll see them. :D :D

I loved your epic rivalry, Aniket! :-) I don't have any siblings, but it reminds me of my daughters' fights. :-)
Good luck with the contest!

And, yes, a photo, please... :-)

Hey, there, Aniket! I'm with you on the 55 word thing- they can me so hard to write. (and remind your brother that ninjas weren't big on katanas. that was primarily the domain of the samurai. I've been a student of ninjutsu for 25 years now, and a few years back edited a book with one of my teachers on ninjutsu weaponry. I'll dig up the title if you're seriously interested in the topic. It's a scholarly work, but pretty darned interesting.)

And good luck on the contest!

Vesper -

Thanks. Am visiting home for a week over Diwali.
Would be posting pics as soon as I return. Promise.

I know. Ninja's preffered Ninjutu, Taijutsu and Genjustsu if am not wrong. Its just that Uchiha Itachi is my fav. character in "Naruto" and he own a Katana.

I loved the samurai anime 'Ruroni Kenshin' too. Now I have to find the name of Shikai and Bankai of my katana. :P

I'll be most interested in reading about the topic so be sure to drop in the title when you find it.

Thanks for dropping by here. Do stick around.

So very sorry for disappearing without notice. Thank you for checking up on me.

Too much happening at once in my life that kept me away from blogs. Will try and catch up for sure.
